Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mentis Game app, operated by Engsight Co. ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who Can Use Mentis Game

1. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under 13, you may only use it with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
2. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

Your Account

1. You sign in using your Google or Apple account. You are responsible for any activity under your account regardless of who performed it.
2. Do not share your account or impersonate another player.
3. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.

Virtual Currency (Gold)

1. Gold is a virtual in-game currency. It has no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or redeemed outside of the app.
2. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or revoke Gold balances at any time, including in cases of account termination or suspected abuse.

Live Events

1. Bounty hunt events are live, in-person events that take place in public spaces. Participation is entirely voluntary.
2. You participate in live events at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety and must comply with all applicable laws during participation.
3. We reserve the right to cancel, abort, modify, or end any live event at any time for any reason, including safety concerns or operational issues.
4. Event results are determined at our discretion and are final.

User Content

1. When you submit photos or other content through the app, you grant Mentis Game a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and reproduce that content for gameplay and promotional purposes.
2. Do not submit content that includes other people without their consent, or anything that is illegal, offensive, or violates a third party's rights.

Prohibited Conduct

1. Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized tools or scripts.
2. Harassing, threatening, or abusing other players.
3. Impersonating another player.
4. Any conduct that is illegal, dangerous, or disruptive to others during live events.

Limitation of Liability

The app is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mentis Game is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or participation in live events. You participate in all in-person events voluntarily and at your own risk.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
